… As the DM policy isn’t among the statutory Strong Mayor powers, #LdnOnt city council has the authority to make changes. Options include more frequent rotation, council selection, multiple DMs with portfolios, and direct election by the voters. What do you think?.

I’ve filed a motion for the July 17 SPPC meeting to look at how other Ontario cities select and define the position of Deputy Mayor. London City Council should be considering options besides the status-quo where the Mayor nominates the DM and assigns their roles. .

I had a great meeting this morning w student leaders from @fanshawesu, representing Fanshawe students at the main, downtown, airport and south London campuses. We discussed housing, transit, public safety, local political engagement and some other issues.
