Marking ten years of coercive control legislation this week. Growing up, I had no language for the abuse in my home. This law gave me the words to finally speak out and free my mum, but our systems still need to learn how to see what so many children live through.

What a joy to be back in Parliament with our brilliant team of women who made the coercive control law a reality. The law was pioneering and it’s helped thousands and thousands of victims. We centered victims voices in our campaign. Laws must reflect the reality of women’s and

The Prime Minister has described economic abuse as a national emergency, and it’s a scandal that so many mums and their children are living with its devastating impact. Thanks to @GMB for shining a light on our findings and to Ruth Dodsworth for bravely sharing her experience.
