We arrested 14 people in Essex yesterday including a man wanted on recall to prison, as well as on suspicion of Class A drug and weapon offences.
Officers from our Roads Policing Unit stopped 130 vehicles and seized 14 of them for having no insurance:

Officers were called to the

bridge at around 9am this morning (7 May) following a concern for welfare report.
Emergency services were in attendance and sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family are aware.
The bridge has since been re-opened.

Tributes have been paid to a motorcyclist who died following a collision in High Ongar last month.

Two teenagers have been charged following work by detectives into a stabbing in Chelmsford.
We were called to Avon Rd at about 8.25pm on Tuesday (30 April) to reports of an assault where an 18-year-old was left with life-threatening injuries.
