I went to see Hot Fuzz on opening night. The first shot played without sound. I’m thinking ‘cool creative choice’. Martin Freeman speaks, still no sound. Damn, faulty copy. Then the film burns up. Only copy in the theatre. Bummer. Since then, I’ve seen Hot Fuzz at least 12 times.
Paddy Considine is one of our finest working actors, but his greatest performance? It’s not in ‘Hot Fuzz’, but is in the making of documentary where he remained in character as DC Andy Wainwright. See here where he talks about what he thinks of the esteemed ensemble cast..
