Parks staff have been hard at work in the aftermath of the severe flooding impacting much of New York. NY State Park Police assisted with evacuations in Canandaigua and helped stranded motorists in the Hudson Valley.

HEROES. These lifeguards saved an unresponsive 11-month-old boy at Delta Lake State Park in July, administering 15 cycles of CPR until they felt a pulse and continuing rescue breaths until the ambulance came. The child made a full recovery. We honored the guards this morning.
