During his 10 minute address, Victor was able to ask some very pertinent questions around the implementation of the bill. We hope that these, along with our briefings directly to peers, will ensure that it is in the best possible place before it finally gains royal assent.
The new Mental Health Act bill aims to end inappropriate detentions of people with learning disabilities and autistic people, but "only when sufficient community provision is available" Our chair @Voa1234 has been voicing concerns from members in the House of Lords this week. 🚨
