Thanks to all in the community who gave constructive feedback. We have updated our pre-print including new imaging in additional mutants & genomics analysis. Open science and community peer review FTW in helping us strengthen our findings:

Today we said farewell to our summer student Carmine Picone with some robot served ice cream. He learned molecular bio fundamentals & generated a library of fluorescent protein fusions under the excellent mentorship of @FruitFlyFischer. Great to see so much growth in 6 weeks!

We had a great time hosting our third annual annual workshop for high schoolers in the Penn OER summer program program with activities on regenerative medicine, optical alignment, light-sheet microscopy, image segmentation, and of course Drosophila!

Very grateful to be able to present my work on SMT of of RNAPII in live embryos at @JohnsHopkins and @NIH this weekend. It was great fun getting to meet the wonderful scientists and see the inspiring live-imaging work being done at both institutions!
