The idea was born during my postdoc years, that a drug-diet combo could outperform drug-alone therapy. And is now validated: Restricting specific amino acids boosts the efficacy of DFMO, a clinically appoved (!!) drug that starves aggressive neuroblastoma tumors of polyamines.
