Bought a book recommended by @James1940 in the @eaglebookshop (my favourite 2nd hand bookshop), nextdoor to @almurray 's old school here in Bedford. @WeHaveWaysPod - all the threads weaving together.

Jiu Jitsu was the film that inspired us to do this. It's absolute crap, by the way, but Cage is ok in it.

I'm listening to an episode of @chatabix1 with an interview with @LesDennis. Les has lobbed in the startling fact that he went to school with Clive Barker and Doug Bradley. So I shared this info with a friend ...

It doesn't feel like it, but Reform barely improve on UKIP's 2015 election. 14.3% of the vote vs 12.6%. 4 or 5 seats vs 1 seat. 98 2nd places vs 120. Not exactly a sea change. Yet seen as very significant given how close they pushed the Tories nationally in the polls.

Very emotional to do my last ever interview before this momentous election with @JonathanPieNews

The 4th of July: a day all about throwing off the oppressive yolk of an uncaring power. Freeing yourself from a weak, wealthy and exploitative leader. And a happy Independence Day to our American friends too!

I just cancelled my Adobe licence after many years as a customer. The new terms give Adobe "worldwide royalty-free licence to reproduce, display, distribute" or do whatever they want with any content I produce using their software. This is beyond insane. No creator in their

🇬🇧 WHEN BRITAIN USED TO BE A PROPER COUNTRY 🇬🇧 A proper thread about a proper country. I see those nostalgia pages about the UK full of just old photos of towns looking grim whilst the author says something racist. So he's a proper thread celebrating when Britain was proper! 🧵

Just been to a fine talk by @claremulley (ably quizzed by @Roger_Moorhouse) on #AgentZo. Such incredibly eloquent, engaging and kind speakers. It's an absolute pleasure to listen to someone talk with passion and erudition on a subject about which one craves more knowledge. A++

A sublime hour of comedy from @pierrenovellie tonight. Go and see him, you fools. I had a spare ticket but nobody took it so my Tank Museum laptop bag enjoyed it instead. My bag is more cultured than all of you!

I have a spare ticket for @pierrenovellie tonight at the @sohotheatre. If anyone wants it, let me know. Downside: you have to sit next to me. @thebudpod

A while back my wife and I had a plan to watch every single Nicolas Cage film and to review them. A project that we're locked into now but the view is quite good. So there was only one name for the blog, really. https://t.co/mo3xf78tm8

On the way home from a lovely evening out seeing @thebudpod Live. Great to be in an audience full of fans who were 100% on board. And always funny to see a performance of my favourite bit. Which reminds me ...

Our new project, The Gilded Cage: to watch every single Nicolas Cage film, in order, and review them. To paraphrase Sir Edmund Hilary, why must we do it? "Because Cage's work must be analysed in searing detail!" I believe that's what he said, anyway. https://t.co/mo3xf78tm8

Extraordinary vision being shown here by DAC Taylor <-- sarcasm I wonder if there will be any examination of this astonishingly poor decision. @lizziedearden @JolyonMaugham
