Simple pairing in the weight room to build better athleticism.
1) Squat Variation
- Back Squat, Front Squat, TB Deadlift
2) Vertical Jump Variation
- Box Jump, Weighted Jump, Hurdle Jump
The heavier lift primes the body for high outputs during the jump.
Do 3-4 sets of each
Use the build up sprint as a tool when developing max velocity (top speed).
1) Build up progressively to 100% effort over 25m
2) Sprint full speed between 10-30m
3) Focus on key top speed positions
Huge fan of this tool as it allows athletes to comfortably get to top speed
