📣 For the past year, I have publicly drawn attention to all the ways in which
@ThomasGalvin
has failed his constituents. Unfortunately, this pattern that has not improved.
Today, I enter the race for Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, District 2. Once elected, not only will…
🚨My fight to outlaw ballot harvesting will be argued before SCOTUS today🚨After 5 long years, the legislation I sponsored in 2016 is finally going to be heard by the Supreme Court.
Tune in to watch the arguments here, starting at 8:00 a.m.:
Here’s the winning formula for Republicans in 2022! In no particular order:
•Open up the State.
•Get kids back in the classroom.
•Cut wasteful spending.
•Cut taxes.
•Pass meaningful election reform.
•Don’t let tech giants get away w/ censoring those they disagree with.
When democrats can no longer use COVID as a political tool and cannot run on shaming people for living, lockdowns, killing small business, canceling youth sports, school closures, mask mandates and spending the holidays alone what will they do next? I know, scary question.
As the Government/Elections chair in the Senate I would like to take this opportunity to update you regarding efforts to audit the election software and equipment used by
@maricopacounty
in the November 3rd election. (1/4)
I have been strongly advocating along with others for an independent audit of the Dominion software and equipment. I am pleased to inform you that I have learned from
@Steve_Chucri
that he is supportive of Maricopa County initiating an independent audit...(2/4)
We can deal with Covid-19 in a thoughtful & meaningful way w/o being under a perpetual state of emergency. That is why I introduced a resolution to terminate
@dougducey
March 2020 Emergency Declaration
#RestoringFreedom
...of all software and equipment used in the November 3rd election. This action will go along way in restoring election integrity and help rebuild voter confidence in the administration of our elections. (4/4)
NEW Citing constitutional issues, GOP-controlled Maricopa County Board votes 4-1 to sue GOP legislative committee over subpoena seeking election-related records. Supervisors vent at Senate Prez Fann & Sen E Farnsworth: "He knows better." "A slap in the face."
With the Gov & Dems using COVID as a never ending excuse to do nothing, I fear conservatives won’t be able to address issues like election reform, unemployment, school closures & our economy b/c they will use every excuse possible to shutdown session like they shutdown our state.
Avoiding complying with the subpoenas by implying the Judiciary Committee (which I sat on) intends to violate the privacy of any voter further fuels the speculation that Maricopa County has something to hide.
#ElectionIntegrity
Supv
@billgatesaz
(R): "If we did what the Senate Judiciary Committee has asked and turned over this private information to them, along with other documents and electronic documents, I don't know what they're going to do with it...I will be supporting filing this complaint."
...and he is encouraging the other board members to support a full audit as well. In light of the time sensitivity of getting this resolved, I expect the Maricopa County board of supervisors to move forward expeditiously with a full independent audit...(3/4)
🚨This is what actual election interference looks like!
Too scared to run for reelection
@billgatesaz
, continues to coordinate with the media to push more
@MaricopaCounty
election propaganda. There are plenty of non-legislative solutions that can address potential timeline…
We're grateful to finally see clear
#COVID
protocols w/ mask enforcement, yet Senate Democrats have ongoing concerns about how to conduct
#AZLeg
session. Given the current volume of COVID cases & projected holiday surge we must take the utmost caution in keeping everyone safe
I wanted to review our election processes and see what, if anything, could be improved. Sadly, it’s now become clear that the audit has been botched. The total lack of competence by
@FannKfann
over the last 5 months has deprived the voters of Arizona a comprehensive…(4of5)
In 2018
@SecretaryHobbs
attempted to legalize the counting of unsigned ballots after the polls closed on Election Day. Thankfully, my bill, SB1003, which just passed prohibits the counting of unsigned ballots after the polls close.
#BallotIntegrity
This is more than enough proof. Democrats want you to believe ballots aren’t being sent to dead people. Mrs. Schweikert’s ballot would say other wise. The real issue is how many more of these exist? It’s time to take action to preserve the integrity of our elections. Pass SB1485
The sobering reality is the governor has no intention of restoring the liberties that he stripped Arizonans of any time soon. If you want your freedom back the only option is to pass my resolution to terminate the Governor’s never ending emergency declaration.
There’s too much at stake. Our election system is under constant assault by the left, and I won’t support bills that fail to strengthen our election system.
The same holds true for the audit. I supported the audit, but I do not support the Trump audit any longer. (3of5)
Another day, another excuse from the
@maricopacounty
Board of Supervisors about why they can never seem to do anything meaningful when it comes to election integrity.
•Too little too late. When schools were closed because of “COVID,” but restaurants and big-box retailers stayed open you were silent.
•Why don’t you lead by example and start with reopening the Secretary of State’s office…
Not a single one of my GOP opponents showed concern about the potential of AZ public schools shutting down.
Instead, they were busy cozying up to conspiracy theorists and spreading lies about the 2020 election. Arizonans deserve a leader who will fight for them—not against them.
Thx
@dougducey
for not succumbing 2 the Democrats’ out of touch calls to shutdown schools. I’m looking forward to the legislative session when we can terminate the emergency declaration & utilize the process to address this & all other COVID related issues.
The slippery slope I warned against if Prop 308 (in-state tuition for illegal immigrants) passed is exactly what we’re seeing. Now, there’s an effort to allow illegal immigrants to have the ability to obtain drivers license’s. And if they’re successful, mark my words, they will…
If
@JoeBiden
believes the election was so secure than why the need to federalize our elections w/ H.R. 1 & nullify many of the important safeguards states already have in place? The “big lie” is that H.R. 1 is abt protecting voters when in reality it’s abt a Democrat power grab.
President Biden forcefully defends the integrity of the November election: “No other election has ever been held under such scrutiny and such high standards. The big lie is just that: A big lie”
The tide is turning! Unfortunately
@dougducey
has shown no interest in lifting Arizona’s year long emergency declaration so the legislature should do it for him. Let’s open up the economy & get people back 2 work by passing
#SCR1001
which will terminate his emergency declaration.
If
@Nike
ends up staying in AZ after
@azcommerce
incentives are withdrawn from them this hopefully will show that giving away tax dollars and picking winners and losers is BAD tax policy & ultimately has no bearing on whether a company commits to our state or not.
I’ve been on the frontlines of the battle for election integrity for the last 10 years. I wrote the law banning ballot harvesting, cleaned-up our mail-in voter rolls, strengthened ID requirements just to name a few of my accomplishments, (1of5)
Don’t forget this is from the same guy who said legislators “should be shot” if they don't change the statute to allow for an all-mail election system for the primary and general election this year.
accounting of the 2020 election. That’s inexcusable, but it shows what can happen when Republicans do not take election integrity deadly serious. (5of5)
The AZ Republican Party is on the precipice of becoming a permanent minority. Voters are desperate for real conservative leadership. Someone who will put their head down and get to work. Focusing on the economy, the border, gov’t overreach, cost of living, etc.
Enough already!
Gov. Ducey u already mandated on 7/23/20 all AZ schools require face coverings for students & staff. Respectfully, doubling down on what has already been done to appease those who will never be satisfied is a fool’s errand. At some point we must be willing to say enough is enough
An incredible and well deserved win! I couldn’t be more proud of my good friend
@GinaSwoboda
, our new
@AZGOP
State Chair. We are in good hands.
@merissahamilton
I am supportive of going into special session and seriously dealing with our wildfires, but last year when the public was told we were facing a worldwide pandemic, your leadership solution was to shutdown the economy, support the legislature prematurely ending session...(1/3)
FIRE UPDATE:
I am calling a special session to make sure we have the resources needed to contain current wildfires, possible flooding, and any other natural disasters that arise from this emergency.

Honest question, what was so news worthy about children playing in a baseball tournament at a park in Mesa that the Arizona Republic sent you to take pictures?
Happy to announce I've officially qualified for the ballot for the office of Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, District 2. 🎉
Thank you for all of your support!
It is shameful how the media,
@billgatesaz
and the
@maricopacounty
Board of Supervisors will stop at nothing, including exploiting America’s heroes, to push their blatantly obvious political agenda of weakening our election system, which the Board is bound to protect, in order to…

@dennis_welch
for having me on to record Politics Unplugged this morning to discuss the importance of ensuring there is enough time in Arizona's elections calendar for our overseas soldiers and their families to get their ballots on time. Watch/record this Sunday @ 5:30am!
Yes, Twitter is a convenient way for people to communicate, but it is not ultimately necessary. They may be able to take your account away, but they can never take your voice away. Remember that!
AZ lawmakers move on three fronts to curb the emergency powers of governors. Two are for future emergencies. But
@MichelleUgenti
measure would end the year-old
@dougducey
declaration.
This is the very definition of Big Brother! I will be introducing legislation to stop schools from asking any of these very personal & invasive questions. No budget next session until schools get back to the business of educating & not social engineering.
@ScottsdaleUSD
@AZGOP
Scottsdale USD wants to evaluate my family’s income, medical and mental health history, my child’s “biometric” info, as well as our gun and ammo ownership. No thanks!
Someone who believes 1/3 of the voting population in AZ are “neo-nazis” has zero credibility & can’t be trusted as a non bias source of info.
@SecretaryHobbs
continues 2 work in tandem w/ the media injecting hyper-partisanship into an office that’s suppose 2 represent ALL voters.
Says the governor who vetoed a bill defining what a woman is. You don’t support women you support a liberal woke agenda that has targeted women. Odd, considering you seem totally fine with women’s bodies, in the 21st century, competing against men in women’s sports……
The only conspiracy theorist around here is you. Constantly perpetuating a false narrative that the Senate has an ulterior motive and dividing the public with your scare tactics is hardly reflective of adhering to the expectations and standards you hold others to.
This morning, I wrote the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, asking them to “do what is necessary to protect our voters and our democracy." If the Senate’s intent was to build confidence in elections they wouldn’t have hired these conspiracy theorists.
Full letter below ⬇️
In the Edu budget bill Republician leadership & Gov want to legalize the ability of school districts to require face masks for students & staff for any reason & for as long as they choose. AZ instead should be joining states like Texas & Iowa that have banned child mask mandates.
Of course people are traveling! After 10+ months of the media engaging in fear mongering, shaming people they believe aren’t “following the rules” & politicizing everything abt COVID instead of objectively reporting the facts. The public no longer trusts anything the media says.
More than 3 million people passed through U.S. airport security checkpoints over the weekend in a sign that public health pleas to avoid holiday travel are being ignored, despite an alarming surge in COVID-19 cases.
I’m thankful to
@dougducey
for sticking to the facts of my legislation & ignoring the unfounded & inflammatory rhetoric of suppression to recognize the importance of maintaining an accurate voter list to protect the integrity of our elections by reducing the potential for fraud..
NEW: Arizona is a national leader when it comes to election integrity and access to the ballot box, and today I signed
#SB1485
to continue that legacy. 1/
I will be supporting the resolution to repeal the emergency declaration unless there are meaningful & timely modifications made to the many executive orders including, but not limited to the termination of the Stay at Home Order so Arizonans can get back to to work.
@LD23azgop
I will never accept

and the Democrats “new normal.” This is my 2021 legislative anthem! Queen - I Want To Break Free (Live At Wembley)
#OpenUpArizona
•Better late then never. To all the Arizona’s who have suffered so much during this year long shutdown we’re getting there slowly, but surely.
•A heartfelt thank you to the relentless efforts of everyday Arizonans who pushed vigorously to reopen the economy & restore liberty!
Today we are in a different spot, and we are also a lot smarter. I’m confident Arizona’s businesses and citizens will continue to act responsibly as we gradually get back to normal. Details on the new phase of mitigation can be found here: 7/
This is not a $15.6B budget. It’s a $17.9B budget.
Through a deceptive accounting gimmick leadership has reclassified $2.3B in member pork, through what is called a TPT diversion so it doesn’t have to be accounted for as a General Fund expense.
#TheMoreYouKnow
Because the
#StayAtHomeOrder
was not lifted I would like to move forward with my senate concurrent resolution to terminate the emergency declaration along with
@KellyTownsend11
moving her resolution in the state house.
Because the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors repeatedly ignored the voters’ demands for transparency the Arizona Senate stepped up and answered the call.
Listen to my interview to hear:
It’s not accurate 2 say “we never did a shutdown”. On 3/30/20 you issued EO: Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected.
I respectfully disagree you “withstood the calls from the extremes”. Agreeing w/ Dems & media who support keeping AZ restricted doesn’t = ignoring the extremes.
Unlike other states, we never did a shutdown here in Arizona. We withstood the calls from the extremes on both sides, and we will continue to ignore them. We always knew that fighting this virus would be dependent on the personal responsibility of everyday Arizonans. 2/5

You really seem to struggle w/ your role. You’re not a lawmaker. Your identity crisis certainly explains why you think, incorrectly of course, that you can guarantee voting options. Not to be picky, but u don’t have a mission, u have a role statutorily defined by the legislature.
So long as I’m Recorder, Maricopa County voters will have options to vote by mail, early-in-person, or on Election Day.
These sudden & unjustified concerns being raised for purely political purposes will not distract me from my mission to serve ALL voters.
#ProtectDemocracy
Got this yesterday. It’s been sent to law enforcement. My family’s safety is my

priority & I will NOT tolerate anyone going after me or my family. Due to misinformation & the unmet expectations of the public surrounding the audit, threats like this will unfortunately continue.
Virtually everyone agrees that vaccines and masks are crucial to truly ending this pandemic. Let’s focus on getting this right instead of getting credit.
We would NOT be in this mess if the
@MaricopaCounty
Board of Supervisors had done their job, per statute, and made sure the EPM was drafted properly.
Right now our best line of defense against the radical left is the
@MaricopaCounty
Board of Supervisors. How many more examples…
Governor it’s time to stop the madness! Threatening to fine & jail this man b/c he chooses to operate his gym is wrong. He’s a U.S. Marine who fought for the very freedoms you are trying to take. I thought you cared about veterans, businesses & Arizonans’ right to earn a living..
State health officials have ordered Self Made Training Facility in Scottsdale to close for violating rules aimed at reducing the spread of COVID-19, but owner Jeffrey Mahaffey says he is keeping the business open.
Great Job
@GeneralBrnovich
- Ballot harvesting in AZ is illegal b/c the legislature passed my bill to ban the practice in 2016 in order to protect our elections from fraud and manipulation. Message to other states: If you care about election integrity ban Ballot Harvesting now!
Two individuals accused of ballot harvesting during August 2020 primary election indicted in Yuma County.
Guillermina Fuentes and Alma Juarez, both of San Luis, were both indicted for 1 count each of Ballot Abuse. Ballot Abuse is a class 6 felony in AZ.
Democrats know they are going to have a hard time selling their 2022 campaign platform of “closed economies and open borders” so they are resorting to weakening our election system instead.
The
#COVID19
vaccine has arrived in Arizona — and this is something we can all be thankful for. We are facing the greatest public health challenge of our lifetime, and Americans stepped up to get the vaccine to our communities quickly and efficiently. 1/
And to think until I publicly exposed it, Fauci Followers in the AZ Senate Leadership along w/
@dougducey
were almost successful in sneaking language into the budget giving school districts the power to force students to wear masks for any reason & for as long as they want.
On occasion, Fauci has even been honest . . . but primarily in private:
“The typical mask you buy in the drug store is not really effective in keeping out virus, which is small enough to pass through material. “

Instead of talking about what my bill (1485) actually does it’s easier to just evoke SB1070 and imply I’m racist. It is intellectually lazy & dishonest. Grow-up!
Today, I sent a letter to Governor
@dougducey
and our state leaders expressing my strong opposition to SB 1713, SB 1485, and SB1106.
While these bills vary in substance, they all would have the same result of disenfranchising voters from our elections.
something every candidate on that stage praised. I’ll put my record of fighting for election integrity up against anyone. What I won’t do is vote for “show” legislation that does nothing to strengthen election integrity and introduced for self serving reasons. (2of5)
@KingJames
I agree,
#accountability
is important. If you believe the purpose of my bill,
#SB1485
is to suppress people’s right to vote and is racially motivated then debate me in a public forum and defend your position (that would be the accountable thing to do).
Please… the
@maricopacounty
Board of Supervisors can spare us their righteous indignation.
Why would anyone show up to listen to a dog and pony show…the public knows the county doesn’t care what they think about elections.
Maricopa County Board of supervisors expressing frustration that “no one is here” to listen to county’s plans for March 19 presidential preference election. Presentations centering on procedural election preparations county making to address misinformation, confusion.
Great news! Arizona legislators you are not alone. According to the National Conference of State Legislatures. “For this year’s sessions, in at least half the states, Republicans and some Democrats have proposed limiting their governor’s emergency powers in some way.”
Election integrity is paramount and the Governor should call the Legislature into Special Session immediately to stop
@SecretaryHobbs
and/or any other election official from making a mockery of our election laws.
@AZGOP
This is the real reason large corporations are fleeing California and skipping right over Arizona for Texas. People want a government that supports them.

These

mitigation efforts are essential to protecting our healthcare and education professionals and institutions, including our students and families.
Not good enough! These changes are still being made w/o public input via the legislative process. The dynamic created by

Covid-19 emergency declaration has left the public susceptible to the changing whims of his agency. Terminate the Declaration & use the legislature.
Thank you

benchmark recommendations.
With the intro of HR1, Dems have made it clear they don’t trust voters. That’s why they’re doing everything they can to federalize our elections & overturn your voice. Voters need to understand the ramifications HR1 will have on how AZ has chosen to run its elections.

Instead of making petty quips about mask enforcement, we should be celebrating that so many people are choosing to live their lives and celebrate Thanksgiving with loved ones despite government and media shaming them into isolation.
