This really is the bare minimum from a government. It's one of the basic things a society provides. We pay all kinds of taxes & most of that money is going to the MIC or funneled to the pockets of the already wealthy. A functional society meets the peoples' basic needs, first.
Your ability to age, live & die with dignity shouldn’t depend on whether you have a spouse or child or other relation who is capable of caring for you or paying for your care. Your tax $ should go toward ensuring there is a system of senior care & support in place for everyone
