These kids look pretty cool in their Cooling Corridors shades! 😎🌳 They helped me plant the 40,000th tree through our Greening the Gateway Cities program and announce a brand-new initiative to bring more trees, cleaner air and lower temps to environmental justice communities.

The door for women in public office is open wider than it’s ever been – but we’ve still got a long way to go. I see bringing new faces and voices to the table as an important piece of my role. Thank you the @RadInstitute and @AlisonKing_MA for a meaningful conversation the…

Massachusetts is all-in on offshore wind. In Chelmsford at Triton Anchor, they’re making the anchors that make floating wind farms possible. Becoming the nation’s climate capital means cleaner air, good jobs, and a booming innovation economy for generations to come.

With companies like @Electric_H2 , MA is perfectly positioned to become the climate lab of the world. No other state is as committed to backing our innovators so they can start, scale and succeed here. Congrats to Electric Hydrogen on your new manufacturing facility in Devens!

In states with extreme abortion bans, pregnant people are being turned away at emergency rooms and denied the care they need. That’s unconscionable. Abortion is health care — essential, life-saving health care. SCOTUS must reject dangerous attacks on reproductive freedom.

It doesn’t matter what you’re wearing – clothes don’t equal consent. We wear jeans in solidarity with survivors and to break down the misconceptions and stigma surrounding sexual violence. Grateful to the @MAWomensCaucus for bringing us together every year for #DenimDay .

Doctors should be able to make decisions about emergency, potentially life-saving abortion care – without judges and politicians getting in the way.

The cures, medicines, and therapies developed in Massachusetts are part of who we are. They’re our legacy. Through the Mass Leads Act, they’ll become our future, too. Always grateful to join @MassBio and support the work that keeps our state a global life sciences leader.

In a coastal state like ours, record-high ocean temperatures mean serious consequences for our culture and economy. On Earth Day, Climate Chief Melissa Hoffer and climate scientists met at @UMassBoston to talk about how we protect our ecosystems, communities, and way of life.

Solar power has the potential to lower costs, create good jobs, and deliver cleaner air. With these funds from the Inflation Reduction Act, we’ll make sure the families who face the worst climate impacts are first in line for clean, affordable energy.

I’ve said before that while the climate crisis is our greatest challenge, it’s also our greatest opportunity. Massachusetts has the brightest minds, the hardest workers, and the best innovation ecosystem in the world. There’s no better place to but climatetech to the test.

Art inspires. It educates. It provokes. That’s why it’s important to me to fill the People’s House with art that takes on what matters most to our communities. To celebrate Earth Day, five works by phenomenal local artists are now on display in the Governor’s Office.

The Inflation Reduction Act gives us a once-in-a-generation chance to fuel state climate action with federal dollars – and we’re not leaving a single cent on the table! This is the power of strong partnerships across our state!
