Wow! After than 30 years for the BBC on that show too. Ultimately they’re only spiting the audience. Toys and pram anyone?! Don’t worry Ken, when you arrive at GHR you’ll be made to feel the most welcome ever and quite right too for the nation’s most listened to broadcaster.
I will be presenting my last show on Radio 2 next Friday. I had intended fulfilling my contract until the end of March but the BBC has decided it wants me to leave earlier. Let’s enjoy the week ahead!

Had a moment today. Thought about my Dad and thought I need to tell him about a work thing. Then remembered he’s no longer here. Weird experience to be honest as I know he’s not here but you do temporarily forget. Grief can be hard sometimes, even a couple of years later.

I, like many others, was on the radio today. Very difficult. Pitched too sombre? Pitched too up? The answer is, there is no answer. I just fulfilled my duty by being myself. It won’t have been for all and I get that but I make no apologies. Grief is grief. We’re all different.
