Fare correction, a must. BMRCL must not test citizens' patience by issuing more confusing clarification. Graciously accept the error & correct it. It is the right thing to do. Introspect on how the error occurred, that is what good institutions do. Numbers speak for itself👇🏽
Even High School students do better mathematical calculations than what BMRCL did for fare revision. Have written to the Managing Director of @OfficialBMRCL to address and rectify the anomalies in the revised metro fare structure. The FFC report, which was released by BMRCL

Anyway Bengaluru citizens do not bother about unfair fares. A month after the FFC Report was released and numerous errors were pointed out, no one seems to care. Before long BMRCL might implement "coach constraint surcharges" and increase the fares to price out the commuters.
Heavy rush at Bengaluru Metro stations this morning shows the city’s growing dependence on Namma Metro and the urgent need for capacity expansion. BMRCL must use data to forecast peak loads, add coaches, increase frequency, and coordinate with BMTC for smoother commuter movement.

In 2 clarifications BMRCL insisted that use of 2016-17 as base year is correct. It even stated it as "statutory necessity". Its a BIG FAT LIE. FFC formula states "at the time of last fare revision". Audited accounts for 2017-18 was very much available in 2024. #rollbackfare

Delhi is a metro city. Their Metro raises fare by 1-4 rupees after 8 years. Max. fare is Rs 64/- *** Bengaluru is NOT a metro city. Our Metro raises fare by 30 rupees after 7 years using FLAWED method. Is this fair Bengaluru? Are Delhi citizens special? Wake up now 🙏🏽
