Really nice piece from @KimKongKimchi founder James Read. Be sure to try his Pineapple Tepache recipe which magically transforms leftover pineapple peelings into a delicious fermented drink.
First thing I've written since my second-born, and I really enjoyed it! A piece about why I love fermentation for @ckbk's 'Consuming Passions' series - thanks for the commission @MJCockerill

Not idea why John Noakes is trending, but gotta love the guy – and this clip is just the best live tv ever...
Blue Peter: Lulu the Elephant 1969, featuring Valerie Singleton, John Noakes, and Peter Purves. Still funny today. I guess Lulu was upset at not getting a Blue Peter badge!!😂 #classictv #bluepeter

Review of Chocolate Zucchini Cake "fabulous, moist chocolate cake, with almost brownie-like consistency & taste... sweet & has a nice crust so doesn't need icing." Who else loves veg in cakes? @rob_c_allen

I hope @lylesgolden will reconsider their decision to ditch this great and iconic branding and its biblical reference. Some things in life should be dependable and constant (I do like the squeezy bottles though…)
1/ Abram Lyle was my 3x great grandfather. He came from poverty in Greenock, built a factory in London and, 1883, saved it from ruin with the @LylesGolden syrup idea, designing the tin himself. “Out of the strong came forth sweetness” was its motto

Have been frustrated by the perverse outcomes of the sugar tax ever since it was introduced. Public health interventions to “improve” diet so often have a bunch of negative unintended consequences. (Though iodising salt to prevent goitre was a big win, admittedly.)
