I don’t think it’s fair to do it to Brexiters either, and my god, I don’t think it helps anything. Moment I suspected I was losing my EU passport was when I saw this kind of thing become so mainstream. It shuts conversations down rather than opening them up.

I find this as a rhetorical tactic a bit wearing. I don’t associate or conflate the worst of Unionists (you don’t want to know any more about the orange order than you do now - trust me) with my decent unionist family. It is not characteristic of their politics and it would be.
