@NYUPainResearch (2/3) mood disorders, and digestive issues. The studies show that increasing serotonin in the lining of the gut improves anxiety and depression, and that antidepressants during pregnancy increase the risk for digestive issues in children.

Our latest paper was published today at Molecular Psychiatry-a population based study showing a link between in utero ssri exposure and DGBI diagnoses. Not a call for pregnant women to stop SSRIs! But more research is needed!
