The amounts paid out as ex-gratia payment by #HMCTS for poor service to court users since 2018. Increasing yearly as standards continue to drop. Eye-watering sums from the public purse. Isn’t that right @CEOofHMCTS?

We all remember the response of #WestYorkshirePolice during the #HarehillsRiots : . * They started it all by heavy-handed policing. * Then ran away when things got a bit rough. * Ran away again when things got a bit rougher. That’s right isn’t it @MayorOfWY ?.
The police response to July's disorder in Harehills, Leeds, will be discussed today at a meeting with Mayor of West Yorkshire, Tracy Brabin. It will include an update from @WestYorksPolice on the circumstances leading to the disorder, their response & the ongoing investigation

Telling that they need to offer such tips on how to spot officer misconduct. It must be occurring more than we suspect. Why are they relying on the public being able to spot and report this and not relying on other members of #WestYorkshirePolice ?.

Reforms appear to be a cosmetic exercise. The major issues in policing include senior officers corruption, incompetence & blame-avoidance by forces when things go wrong. Add to that the aggressive swagger of the modern Plod & you’ve a service with it’s reputation in the 💩
