Today is Yorkshire Day! Events are taking place around the region to mark the occasion. In several Asda stores, including Barnsley, Doncaster and Hull, red rose displays are banned for the day and replaced with white ones as a nod to the shops Yorkshire roots.

A year on from riots outside a hotel housing asylum seekers in Rotherham & despite 100 people being sent to prison, there are fears not enough is been done to calm racial tensions in the town. Sughra Begum organised a multi cultural walking group because people were afraid.
