I think if your schtick is "I'm good on money for the rest of my life" it looks a bit bad to go "I'm taking Saudi money to convince single-digit number of people that maybe they shouldn't hate me" while the state that's paying you is actively working to suppress your efforts!.

This is not a particularly kind response but I think streamers' constant need to talk and improv new opinions serves them very poorly when it comes to subjects like this one. Some of these guys are apparently very fucking stupid!.

@AverieBirds I disagree — I think it's beneficial if I (lgbt) or allies directly participate in such events, for many reasons. I've already told the stories of my small yet still existing sample size of some saudi viewers who asked me about "I didn't know you were bi" after having watched.

I remember interviewing an architect once whose whole schtick (20-30 years ago!) was that most spaces could be whatever you want them to be. Spaces aren't determinative!.
