A nice surprise: @SjoerdStallinga cited my tweet :) Open discussion is the most productive form of scholarly publication. Smart people can tell good ideas even if they're not in fancy journals, and kind people give high-fives even when they don't have to. Thanks, Sjoerd!
@SuperResoluSian @LennartHilbert @barrosolab Can you "coinflip split" the image? Meaning, scale image counts to photoelectrons, then flip a coin for each photoelectron to decide if it belongs in imaginary subexposure 1 or imaginary subexposure 2?

The power of SIM for in situ #singlemolecule imaging! Quantitative 3D #superresolution #fluorescence #microscopy settles a longstanding dispute if #cohesin acts as a monomer in sister chromatid cohesion. Proud to have contributed to this awesome study by @OchsFena et al.
Our new paper is out today in @ScienceMagazine showing that sister chromatid cohesion is mediated by individual cohesin complexes. Read about it here: https://t.co/GDjy65YSn1 (1/4)

Fantastic work by the Mazza Lab, highlighting the importance of higher-order chromatin organisation to guide the binding of transcription factors! SPT of TFs is so much more impressive when observed in the context of the chromatin landscape!🤩 Well done!!!
...And the manuscript is now out in @NatureComms: https://t.co/BMgUqQtTcP. Here a long-due but (hopefully) short thread:

Great to see this wonderful work by @AleksSzczurek and @RobKlose finally out on @biorxivpreprint, highlighting the power of quantitative imaging to understand the molecular function of #polycomb. Seeing (& measuring) is believing! https://t.co/7AaV74S2YX

The Polycomb system plays fundamental roles in regulating gene expression during mammalian development. However, how it controls transcription to enable gene repression has remained enigmatic. Here...
