I remember in late 2017 I sold all my BTC after it had pumped to 2k because I was just disgusted with how the two sides of the blocksize wars were treating each other and all the drama of hard forks. The worst trade of my life.
Until a couple weeks ago, Start9 had 100% of our treasury in BTC. We sold some at $117k as soon as we understood a contentious soft fork was likely. While not solely responsible for recent decline, it will be a headwind for confidence (and price) until a resolution is reached.

The main interesting thing to come out of “crypto” will be that no-KYC, cryptographic ownership will be the standard. It’s already happening for USD. It will happen for all liquid assets. All L1 tokens like ETH, SOL etc will die a slow death as the market realises they were XRP.

The mission of Bitcoin is to make money boring again. Unconfiscatable, uncensorsble fixed supply is that matters. The next 5 years will be so boring most people will forced leave the wider crypto industry and crypto trading.
