I am very excited to see this in print!. New work from our lab defines an interferon-induced memory B cell subset during chronic viral infection. An awesome effort by Lucy Cooper @coopernatant & supported by our generous lab members & collaborators. @MonashBDI @ImmunityCP.

It's great to see this out today! A tour de de force by @MasatoOgishi Koji Kitaoka, @casanova_lab, @Tangye_Lab + others. Also stoked to contribute unpublished recall response data from my postdoc a very long time ago š.
1/ We report @ImmunityCP that the PD-1:PD-L1 axis promotes the development of B-cell memory and antibody responses in mice and humans. To our surprise, the pro-B-cell effect of PD-1 and PD-L1 is, at least partially, mediated in a B-cell-intrinsic manner.
