“What do we do when we know a revolution is needed, but the revolutionary within us feels depleted? Bearing witness isn’t meant to break us. It’s meant to change us.”
There’s a Full Moon in Aquarius happening tonight, and it’s casting a bright light on the deep spiritual exhaustion so many of us are carrying. The exhaustion of bearing witness to horrific genocides; the exhaustion of watching world “leaders” and media outlets respond with

The roses are in bloom in our Contrada ~ a family group of 300 year old stone houses, mostly abandoned ~ except for us, fireflies in the common meadow and a squirrel in the walnut tree.

Living in the village of Posta Fibreno in the Valle di Comino of the ‘hidden’ region of Ciociaria. I have to walk through a forest along the clear waters of Fibreno River to get to the village ~ there’s an espresso bar as soon as I emerge from the forest…

Since AI is making everyone sound more generic and NPC, I recommend becoming the most unhinged version of you, to counterbalance. Write like a crazy person who hasn’t interacted with humanity in years. Break any and all of the rules. Live like a mad, drunk poet. Now is your time

After reading on habits of the greatest creators of the last 150 years it’s clear: getting up early, working for 3 solid hours before lunch, walks, cold baths (!) & amphetamines (do not recommend!) fueled much of the most important art, music & literature. Alcohol far less so.

Packed up restaurant in Carcoar in December, ran a pop-up restaurant in Ras Al Khaimah for a month, then moved to Italy. As one does. Am in the Valle di Comino in the ‘hidden’ region of Ciociaria in central Italy. It’s glorious here

A pandemic is a uniquely traumatic event psychologically and biologically for society. On a par with war. Our collective unwillingness to reckon with how it has affected us psychologically or biologically is the vibe shift. It's the thing that is dooming us
Does anybody else feel that the pandemic was a much bigger break in society than we knew at the time, or that we can even see now? Like in 20-30 years it’s going to be clearly seen as a tipping point.

We work on a lot of cool structures on our project (@PAKEP_KSA). Despite my focus on tombs, I will say that the most enigmatic, all-round-cool structures we focus on is this: the Mustatil! This structure is 7000 years old! It’s over 100m long, but it’s a baby. They go to 600m! 1/
