We had a fun day with our high school summer students exploring different areas of research @UHN. They learned about labs @McEwenInstitute, @pmcancercentre, and @TGHRI_UHN as well as participated in workshops on Artificial Intelligence, Immunology and Presentation Skills. 💡

@AikawaElena @FishLab_UHN @vallisubasri @ulfhed Symptomatic plaques had signatures of endothelial communication that predicted angiogenesis. We then demonstrated extracellular vesicles from symptomatic plaques increased endothelial sprouting, which could underlie the neovascularization seen in high-risk carotid disease.
