It seems Poland has prepared. Much wiser than Western European leaders.
Gazprom just shut down deliveries of gas to Poland via the Jamal pipeline❗️. 55% of 🇵🇱 gas imprts (47% of total) r from 🇷🇺. ~10bcm per year. 🇵🇱 just finishing 2 new projects: . > Baltic Pipe to 🇳🇴🇩🇰. Capacity from end-'22: 10bcm👊.> GIPL to 🇱🇹, 2.5bcm👊. Storage filled to 76%.

Disagree with cutting the green new deal. "nonsense" but agree with the rest.
This is serious. Time to cut the Green New Deal nonsense and surge US domestic production of natural gas. Poland wisely invested in the import infrastructure to accept LNG by ship and we should reward them by sending it--but need to produce more so prices don't spike at home.

Unfortunately, this is exactly what I think. #EU must not let it happen.
Gazprom's gas supply cutoff on Poland is likely a gambit to divide Europe on the acceptability of paying in rubles . Russia hopes that some EU countries, likely led by Hungary, will cave on this issue.
