Today, I called on the President to address my serious concern regarding reports the United States is withholding critical defense material pledged to Ukraine. This comes as Russia launches the largest aerial assault since the war began, firing over 500 weapons at civilian

What Trump has done for Russia in 2025:. – Lifted sanctions on arms dealers and Kremlin-linked banks.– Disbanded US sanctions enforcement.– Blocked Ukraine aid approved by Congress.– Opposed oil price cap at G7. What Trump did for Ukraine:. – Called Zelenskyy a dictator

A few days ago, at the NATO summit, Trump promised a Ukrainian journalist, whose husband now defends Ukraine, that he would "think about supplying weapons to Ukraine.". Today, Trump reconsidered and stopped the deliveries—even the deliveries of air defense systems, which were

Indeed, Trump is a close ally of Putin and nothing that the West or Ukraine can do can turn him around. And the republicans in Congress - half of whom claim to support Ukraine - are such cowards that they dare not stand up to Trump. Why did anybody elect such cowards?!.

So Zelensky did everything Trump asked him to do, signed away mineral rights, agreed to an unconditional ceasefire, and the U.S. still cut off previously funded weapons supplies, leaving Ukrainian cities defenseless against Russian missile strikes. A lesson to all here.

8. Yet, the worst might be that Trump scares foreign investors away from US treasuries, while severely aggravating the US public finances. Trump stands out as the most irresponsible kind of banana republic ruler. This will have real economic consequences.

7. Trump is also undermining business conditions for even the biggest companies with his attacks on one big company after the other. The US is no longer granting business freedom & Trump is adamantly opposed to the rule of law. He wants to rule himself.

6. This will have big economic costs most of all for the US, since it is obvious to the rest of the world that Trump is a madman with minimal understanding of anything but power & his personal wealth.

5. Trump claimed that he would get 90 trade agreements within 90 days. He will not. The UK concluded a tiny, marginal agreement & China (of all countries) an elementary truce. The likely outcome is that Trump will destroy much of the global trade system that the US built.

4. Trump calls his tariffs "reciprocal" but they are actually unilateral & should be called so. Nobody has any reason to accept Trump's tariffs. Trump has turned them against the closest US allies & accepted only a few, notably Russia.

3. Worse, Trump focuses on tariffs because there he has complete power. To enforce his power, he changes his policy virtually every day. There will be no stabilization as many have hoped. Thereby, Trump has made it nearly impossible to invest in the US.

2. Trump insists on extreme protectionism with tariffs up to 50% & probably with an average of 25%, while they used to be 2.5%. This makes no economic sense as pretty much all economists know. Trump is damaging the global economy, but most of all the insular US economy.

A few thoughts about Trump's trade policy:.1. Nothing in his trade policy makes sense. The US has not been ripped off but benefited from its exorbitant privilege that foreigners wanted to invest in the US & US treasuries before madman Trump destroyed it all.

After the US stopped ALL military supplies to Ukraine, the US must be considered an ally of Russia in its war of aggression in Ukraine. Lindsey Graham's proposal on further sanctions on Russia is just a cover up. Do republicans really support Putin's war in Ukraine?!.
