Fifty-two years ago (1972) the Equal Rights Amendment, which codified equal rights for women, was passed by the Senate but never ratified, much due to the efforts of Phyllis Schlafly, who claimed its passage would eventually lead to a Woman President and, god forbid, a Black one!

@Michelson20MM attacking non-profit college stores is not new. They invested in for-profit vendors-lobbied CA leg. to support them, then lobbied to outsource CA college stores to Chegg & run a state aid program collecting sensitive student data. https://t.co/C3MozWq5dr

I'm so hyped to share images of this piece because I kid you not when I say that this is one of the best pieces of early modern professional embroidery I have EVER seen. The embroidery is next level and it has so much personality. It's a true feast for the eyes!
Here is a detail from a professional embroidery dating to the 1630s-1640s. We will share further details in the next few days, followed by a reveal of the overall picture. The embroidery is expertly wrought and uses an impressive variety of metal threads

In the history of journalism, there have been instances when a lone voice dared to challenge the government narrative, battling not just headlines but who went the extra mile to save lives in distress. All it takes is spine and integrity. 2/17
