New from me today. There's an urgency here. This is/going to cripple digital collections if we can't find a productive way forward.

Staking my claim to these predictions. We're about two years from a full-on critique of diamond OA bc of which orgs just go ahead and underwrite journals or endow them. Why? .Bc we're about to see scholarly journals as platforms for politics in a way we've avoided until now.

I'm starting to notice more and more arguments to re-close/enclose datasets, metadata, etc. A trend? . "Data providers should use API keys and application numbers to prevent data dredging and hypothesis drift."

Today I learned that the most-read Scholarly Kitchen post of the year to date is mine! It's about the implications of US funding agencies drastically reducing indirect cost rates and sadly is even more relevant now that the cuts have spread. .

Excited to co-lead with the indefatigable Nandita Quaderi! . In this next phase of United2Act, we're looking to engage more deeply with universities and research institutes, funders, and policymakers. Ideas and volunteers are welcome! .
