As a top specialist in this area, I can tell you that these claims about the ECHR are all incorrect; her “best lawyers” are wrong. She’s also failed to ask a fundamental question, more important than her five ‘tests’; the international implications the U.K. leaving the CoE.

This actually underlines what Starmer’s saying. You can grow up in Britain. Work hard. Play by the rules. Pay your taxes. Obey the laws. Speak perfect English. Contribute to your community. But in Reform’s eyes, you still don’t belong.
IN the world according to @Keir_Starmer if I grew up in, say, Somalia, I could credibly claim to be Somalian. Could I? Really? I think that would be laughable.

"Controlling migration is a reasonable goal. But if you throw bricks and smash up property that is thuggery. Free speech is a British value and we have guarded it. But if you incite racism and violence that's criminal. If you say or imply that people cannot be British because of

Reform up in arms at language they say may incite violence against politicians. They brought onto their stage the woman who said "Set fire to all the fucking hotels full of the bastards for all I care. While you’re at it take the treacherous government and politicians with them".

Labour's cancelling of 3 left-wing journalists' conference passes on the basis of "safeguarding" seems Stalinist. And it demeans the work of party staff who have to handle genuine & serious "safeguarding" cases. Maybe these guys committed some serious offences, but I doubt it.
I have agonised over making this public as I didn’t wanted to embarrass the party but after two emails with no response I feel I have to share my concerns at what seems to be a freedom of speech issue. I have done no media this year or interviewed anyone.

What is OUR common goal then Starmer? Because my community has been devastated by all of you in Westminster & on purpose. And be honest you despise my people for their flags, accent, anger & sentimental view of the past when they had jobs & dignity https://t.co/H4HxeRCVec

Bring it on. I didn’t accuse Farage of corruption. I accused him of being a Russian stooge because… he’s consistently been one: - 2014 says Putin is the world leader he most admires - 2022 claimed Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was "a consequence of EU and Nato expansion"
@TorstenBell As a member of parliament, you are accusing a fellow member of Parliament of corruption without any proof. That gonna be one hell of a lawsuit.

Dickie Bird's magnificent knock has come to an end. He was so good. And so eccentric. He is completely synonymous with English cricket in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Can't think of another official, in any sport, who was genuinely as famous as the players. Raise your bat, Dickie.

Liz Truss has come out in support of Tommy Robinson - a convicted criminal and known Islamaphobe who in the pocket of foreign billionaires and is working against this country’s interests. Truss is a disgrace to office of Prime Minister.

Care homes for elderly, children's homes in fact anything that needs public money to run including prisons & asylum housing should not be in the hands of 'for profit' how did we get here?
In a corporate owned care home, charging £1,800 a week. Residents face neglect/cruelty. Left in urine-soaked clothes, wet bedsheets, calls for help ignored, not showered for weeks, excrement in corridors, staff shortages. When profits come B4 people. https://t.co/914ELOACrN

So much truth in this, inequality is a huge issue in our country the irony is people turn to rich tx exiled billionaire funded politicians to improve the situation as with Brexit will just make it worse.
This captures what is happening in the Country- hopelessness. I'm talking to working class people in their late 50s & 60s who are looking at the future & are saying they thought they would be dead by the time dystopian Britain arrived. And now they have to grow old in it

If I had my way. All prospective MPs would declare their outside interests on their campaign materials MP's should not be allowed to vote on issues that conflict with their interests All MP's should have to publish a detailed breakdown of their income from outside sources.

I’m SICK of saying it, but I’ll say it again. Asylum seekers can’t claim benefits. You need an NI number to do that. Asylum seekers aren’t staying in 5* hotels. Asylum seekers get £49.18p a week to live on. Could YOU live on that? NOPE. So stop pretending they’re living it large.

I am not a Labour voter but what Trump says about Sadiq Khan is rubbish. He keeps pushing the line that London is broken and that Khan is to blame. I live here. I do not just stick to the west of the city where I live, I move around and see it as a whole. London is alive, busy,
