They could have refurbished the Aylesbury made it decent & safe but they decanted the working class population & it awaits demolition where unaffordable apartments will be built.
No coincidence that the block pictured is on the Aylesbury estate where there are currently more than 1,000 long-term empty homes awaiting demolition!.

This post tells us all we need to know about class in Britain. Luddites were working class revolutionaries. The technology that fills their pockets empties ours, starves our children kills our elderly. Luddite riots a great example of working class history. History from below.
Brexit unleashed and enabled open racism, Luddism and hatred across huge swathes of the country and the established media enabled this and/or did not lead their readers away from it, which in my view and experience is the role of mass market editors. This will always be my view.
