"What first attracted you to Britain’s mineral rich national parks?" Great piece in @YorksBylines by @AnnAubert3 with a little from me on #NationalParks, #Freeports & why it's extremely worrying the some of the former seem to have ended up in the latter! @hmtreasury @DefraGovUK

UK pesticide regulation it going in the wrong direction. Government action to get a grip and take action to protect people and the environment is long overdue.

It was good to hear Mr Eustice say that Schedule 3 of the FWMA will be enacted in the Committee yesterday! Let's hope it happens quickly. Mandatory SuDS in England will be an excellent step forward. @LouiseW24491539 @LDNWaterkeeper @altaeco @GeorgeWarren8 @DefraWater

Good morning from Glasgow! I will be tweeting about nature for the duration of #COP26 . Nature has never featured as prominently in any UNFCCC COP before. Here is a blog I wrote on what COP26 can deliver for nature: https://t.co/tULU9W57hX #biodiversitycrisis #ClimateCrisis

Unusually for a Monday morning, my Twitter feed is full of sewage. Quite a lot of it is misinformation...quite a bit misunderstanding...and quite a bit misallocation of responsibility. So let's dip a toe into these murky waters and see if we can separate fact from fiction. A 🧵

Final survey results of breeding Black Redstarts in Great Yarmouth this year is ‘at least’ 11 territorial males present, possibly as many as 13. Young were seen at six sites. Many thanks to Ian Ellis for his additional information. Drawing by Richard Richardson, dated 1970.

"Significant immediate action and investment" is needed to deliver the government's promise to protect 30% of land for nature. @KeasdenKate of @Natures_Voice writes about the "reality gap" in the government's #30x30 promise. https://t.co/245xFK94wx
