@HarringayBirder @FinsParkFriends @LizIxer @TCVHaringey @Elliott81758817 Yes at least 6 new nest boxes used by Swifts this spring in north London, taking that total to around 40 (that I know about), plus 12+ in nest bricks, and there are active nest sites in eaves in the Finsbury Park area.

@HarringayBirder @islingt_swifts I don't expect anyone next year, but I hope they will notice it then and nest the following year. 🤞There are a few swift boxes in my neighbourhood, so I get a swift show every summer. Hopefully two more breeding pairs once they see my boxes. 😍

@WasThatThunder @rubatroid @E17Wetlands There were three birds over Finsbury on Tuesday evening, maybe a fledging youngster joining its parents?? It's nice to think so. All quiet since though, if I spot another this year it will be a bonus :-)

@WasThatThunder They're drifting away for sure, but still a couple over Finsbury Park yesterday evening, and you can usually see them at @E17Wetlands until early September :-)

I think of the amazing work.of @islingt_swifts every day as I hear and see the swifts overhead. This year in flocks of maybe 20, such a cheering sight!
