Every modern software developer uses both CLI- and IDE-based tools. Claude Code works better as a CLI tool than Cursor Agents work in an IDE when the work is across multiple files; at some N ~> 5ish, the IDE doesn’t work across files well.
I can’t believe I have to be the one saying this:. An IDE for software development is better than a command line interface. We fought this war and won it a long time ago. Why is now every model provider releasing a CLI for AI coding?. What’s this madness about?.

How can you take this person seriously when she conflates a 1/10000 probability with a 1/100 probability with no acknowledgement that she’s comparing wildly different probabilites.
LASIK basically shows how people can’t evaluate risk. If you’re smart enough you shouldn’t care it goes well for 9999 people, you don’t want to be that 1 at any cost.
