Paco clearly understands and explains! #CovidIsNotOver by a long shot! Ignoring the situation or making up faerie tales based on wishful thinking, isn't going to help the deeply concerning state that global society is in!

A three-year follow-up study shows that some people continue to have immune system changes long after recovering from COVID-19. ➡️ Researchers found ongoing low-grade inflammation and reduced recovery of certain T cells that are important for fighting new infections. ➡️ A

So someone with measles can spread it before they have symptoms, it can float in the air for hours and years later, they can develop new health complications?

@COVID19_disease Surprising, but not surprising. We know COVID breaches the Blood Brain Barrier leading to inflammation & altered coordination between different brain systems (affecting attention, planning, multitasking …). We can measure the cognitive deficit even in COVID with no symptoms.

Almost every week... another study & another understanding about all the ways that Covid infection affects the body! #CovidIsNotOver by any stretch of the imagination or wishful thinking.

@1goodtern @1goodtern Here's the Gallup Poll from where those graphs came from...

A record-low 54% of Americans say they drink alcohol, as a majority now believe moderate drinking is unhealthy.

I came upon this info over another discussion about reduced alcohol intake in the US. I noticed something interesting. Since 2020, more people are thinking alcohol is bad for you, yet prior to '20, it was pretty even. @1goodtern, do you thing this could have a Covid angle?

Trump always wants to be center of attention. He went to Davos to be the center of attention. He was on the plane when Carney gave his speech. By the time he landed, Mark Carney stole the show. He was humiliated. His speech was weak. Mark Carney embarrassed him. He's angry.

Mark Carney is becoming the international resistance leader against subjugation by Donald Trump. If effective he will be the one who should get the Nobel Peace Prize.

Canadians didn’t elect Mark Carney to negotiate a deal with Donald Trump. We elected him to not make the wrong deal with Donald Trump. Hope that clears things up.

This is some good news for a change!
China approved Azvudine, its first locally made oral COVID-19 antiviral, offering a cheaper alternative to Paxlovid. Originally developed for HIV, Azvudine showed symptom improvement and viral load reduction, and was added to national treatment guidelines and insurance. 1/2
