Have read this book to see how president Eisenhower treated Canada. It was with respect, fairness, intelligence. What a contrast to the boor in the White House today.

The thug president is at it. Fentanyl traffic from Canada is less than one percent and we're reducing it even more. Yet he outrageously uses it as the basis for his latest coercive threat. He gives total legitimacy to the term the Ugly American.

Excellent column. Nobody's been talking about this. Trump's tariffs in many cases have been ruled illegal. A momentous court decision appealing the ruling is coming. Deals should not be made until we know the outcome.

It was useful in Russia to see how many of Umberto Eco's "features of fascism" were happening under Putin. I never thought I'd be applying it to the USA, but instead of calling Trump names, go down the list and try it yourself.

It is obvious with the insane spending of this bill, which increases the debt ceiling by a record FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS that we live in a one-party country – the PORKY PIG PARTY!!. Time for a new political party that actually cares about the people.
