It was such a great honor to be a part of this program! Iām grateful for the opportunity to work with awesome colleagues and dedicated partners in bringing our collective voice to Capitol Hill! #SeeWhatMatters #EmergingVisionScientists
Tomorrow kicks off our Emerging Vision Scientists Program and we are absolutely STOKED to welcome the largest cohort to date: 38 participants from nearly 30 institutions nationwide, plus a representative from the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research. #SeeWhatMatters

Thrilled to see our work officially out in @pnas! Congrats to @vickey17singh and our amazing team. I'm so honored to be part of this effort in developing an innovative system to study the NHP visual system in the real-world. Exciting projects ahead, stay tuned!
New paper in @pnas led by @vickey17singh! We present an innovative head-mounted eye-tracking system to study vision in freely-moving NHPs. Results counter key assumptions in the field and opens the door to study the NHP visual brain in the real-world. https://t.co/VHkHVeEEDv

Interesting paper! I can't agree more with the analogy of brain states as attractors in high-dimensional nonlinear systems. How these systems emerge self-organized properties is a fundamental yet challenging question. Linearization is a common and powerful approach to address it!
Excited to share a new project! šš https://t.co/A36dZL55ar How do we navigate between brain states when we switch tasks? Are dynamics driven by control, or passive decay of the prev task? To answer, we compare high-dim linear dynamical systems fit to EEG and RNNsš ā¬

We found a distributed functional organization for natural vocal-behavior processes and internal behavioral states in marmoset frontal cortex by leveraging an integrative GLM-based analysis. Much appreciation to @CoryMillerMarmo and @mikio_aoi 's mentorship on the project!
New collab paper led by rising star @JingwenLi18 w/@mikio_aoi in @NeuroCellPress. We find that neurons in functional clusters for natural behavior-related processes are distributed in marmoset PFC and PMC in contrast to conventional models #naturalbrains
