2/3 Right now, vision research is facing serious threats, and it’s never felt more urgent to act. We’re asking for continued support for NIH and NEI funding, for protecting the independence of NEI, and for restoring the DoD Vision Research Program.

New paper in @pnas led by @vickey17singh! We present an innovative head-mounted eye-tracking system to study vision in freely-moving NHPs. Results counter key assumptions in the field and opens the door to study the NHP visual brain in the real-world. https://t.co/VHkHVeEEDv

Interesting paper! I can't agree more with the analogy of brain states as attractors in high-dimensional nonlinear systems. How these systems emerge self-organized properties is a fundamental yet challenging question. Linearization is a common and powerful approach to address it!

Excited to share a new project! šŸŽ‰šŸŽ‰ https://t.co/A36dZL55ar How do we navigate between brain states when we switch tasks? Are dynamics driven by control, or passive decay of the prev task? To answer, we compare high-dim linear dynamical systems fit to EEG and RNNsšŸŒ€ ā¬
