I walk to 30th st station in philly and pop out in lower manhatten within an hour and a half. You can not fix laguardia or JFK to compete with this plus trains are infinitely more comfortable.
You don’t really want high speed rail. You want easier airports.

I refuse to believe that a single fitness influencer who lives in like suburban Florida or North Carolina actually gets 10k steps per day without a treadmill. Unless you live in one of America’s, like, 6 walkable cities, it’s not happening.
