Become a doctor they said. You'll have a guaranteed job for life, they said. You'll never be out of work, they said.
The 4:1 competition ratio for IMT has been deliberately manufactured. The market is now flooded with SHO-level doctors who have no choice but to work cheap Trust grade contracts while they wait for a place to open up. We have a doctor shortage, but they won't let us train.

Fantastic talk by @JafarCain at @BTSrespiratory. He showed the results from his MB PhD investigating time of day effects in eosinophil trafficking in allergic airways disease... lots of hard graft in the middle of the night! Well done! @Time_MCR

Huge congratulations to @h_durrington for winning the @asthmalunguk/ @BTSrespiratory Lecture Award. Hannah presented a lecture on the evidence that both management and diagnosis of asthma are impacted by time-of-day, and the potential for novel therapeutics to address this.

This must be why JAX has always used LD14:10 light cycles. Â I always thought it was to extend the working day at JAX. Â But maybe JAX found that mice breed better on LD14:10? https://t.co/gqNLyEVAFC
