Had a little fly past the alps but safely landed in crete

Bloke infront of me is on his first flight. The guy next to him is bragging about how many flights hes taken and has just stated he flew to Australia last year, 'it was a good 12 hours' .On what world did he fly? London to Aus in 12 hours?!.

Excitedly downloaded all my kindle books for holiday and now up north prior to our flight and I cant find my kindle anywhere. Im praying Rich has picked it up, but hes currently post nights sleeping. Otherwise its left 3.5 hours away back at home 😔.

Day 3 of my 17 days off and I realise how much I needed it. I was getting grouchy because of how tired I was. I love my job but sometimes the hours take its toll. 10 days in Crete coming up and its just what I need for some downtime.

How is everyone complaining that British summer is awful because its rained the last two days? .Have you all forgot that weve had almost non stop sunshine since spring in the south? Even in between the rain lately its been sunny.

Arriving in Greece next week just in time for a heatwave. Feels like 52c? 🥵

My next job has the rota split in two, so it means I only ever work nights at the weekend. Never have weekend days nor weekday nights and I dont understand it. So the other half pick up all weekend days and weekend nights? It feels like an unfair split.

He's so camp

I left some cans of Pepsi in my car today. Turns out hot Pepsi cans turn into small bombs when they get too hot .I was driving home to tiny explosions of Pepsi max cans which was fine until the ones on their side decided to start popping on the motorway

Spending the weekend on the postnatal ward in this heat is just criminal

Big stretch

This is my second year of not going to glasto since not missing a single year since 2016.But watching it on iplayer this year im not really that bothered. The line up this year is terrible. Those that are there will have a great time but it could be so much better.

Im currently trying to persuade Rich to get a kitten so we can teach Wilfred's ways of life. He's not keen, I think because he doesn't want to think about Wilf not being here. But I think he'd be a great little mentor for a future kitty.

The most chill cat

I think sometimes reading can feel quite overwhelming, particularly when you work amongst medics, as people seem to think only certain books 'count' or reading should be academic. But I love a good easy read. My work is hard enough, why can't we just chill with an easy novel?.

I decided last year that medicine was taking up far too much of my life and despite being dyslexic I wanted to read more. I hated it at school reading aloud but at home I really enjoy a good story. I usually read an easily thriller. But im feeling pretty happy with this

Ive just received my draft rota for September onwards . And im down to work finishing nights on Christmas eve morning and then start long days on Boxing Day! . It still means by Christmas Day streak continues but damn thats a rough week, even without it being christmas.
