Pretty crazy table. In 81 men's grand slams over the last 20 years, only *four* have been won by players aside from the usual:.- Big Three: 62.- Alcaraz, Sinner: 5, 4.- Murray, Wawrinka: 3 each.- Everyone else combined: 4!. Just brutal for Zverev & co

4. *What* is up with these 4-year bull cycles? 2013, 2017, 2021, and now 2025. It really is pretty bizarre. I suppose you could try to tie it to incoming USG administrations but feels like a stretch. Expect a lot of pain between now and 2029. .

3. That said, ETH is nearing ATH, BTC is at it, but - ETH/BTC is still blah by historical standards. 2x since April, but flat since Dec, -15% over 1y, ~half its norm from ~2022, and 1/4 of its June 2017 peak!. So much hyperbole. Crypto people need to chill out.

Quick ETH price takes -. 1. ETH has tripled in 4 months (chart 1). Even for crypto that's pretty striking for a top coin these days. 2. In particular the dislocation vs BTC is unusual: since mid-July ETH is +50%, BTC ~flat (chart 2). Usually they're much more correlated

Unfortunately I take this argument from @robbensinger et al very seriously. As a society we need to start facing it head on. - AI cos are explicitly trying to build superintelligent AI.- They're making. tremendous. progress.- If they succeed it's quite likely to kill us all

None of this is surprising. It's consistent with Trump's reprehensible continued insistence that he won in 2020. Heck the seeds were there in birtherism and before. Every society will have people who try stuff like this, the shame is that ours has rewarded him.

Yeah this is impressive legwork. If you quote a bunch of sources and someone methodically calls them up and they vehemently disagree with your thesis. Maybe your thesis is wrong but also, maybe you're in the wrong line of work.
There really is no substitute for doing the plodding work of real policy journalism. There are a lot of fakes out there but @DKThomp is the real deal.
