I know this will sound weird, but with that rationale: Disability showers You know what is expensive as hell that people need help with and stuff for? Major health + function changes. (Most) people only want to support and uplift the pretty milestones.
baby showers are not "just to celebrate that a baby is coming", baby showers are to get gifts. baby showers are part of "it takes a village." weddings and birthdays can be a toss up, it *can* just be wanting to celebrate, but baby showers are to help people get what they need!
