Come out to Auburn High School tomorrow March 28th to cheer on your firefighters as they take on Auburn Police in a 5 vs 5 basketball game.

The pilot sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. Auburn Way South is closed in both directions between 37th and 41st until further notice.

VRFA on scene of a small plane landed Auburn Way N near 40th St NE. One single occupant on board.

Battalion 331 and Tender 334 are operating on this incident in Mountain View Fire & Rescue’s response area.

Fire crews from @PugetSoundFire @ValleyFire and @SkywayFire are on scene of a house fire in @MVfireWA at 31300 182nd Ave SE. The residents and pets have been evacuated without injuries. The fire is primarily in the garage of the home. More info to follow

VRFA units are on scene of a fully involved vehicle fire on the 700 block of 4th ave NE in Pacific. The vehicle was within 5’ of an apartment building. Firefighters extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading. The fire is under investigation.

HAPPENING NOW- Units arriving on scene of a working residential fire in North Auburn

The door was successfully removed and the kitten was rescued with no obvious injuries. The kitten was placed in a cat carrier and was left in the care of the truck owner who said he was going to at least temporarily name the kitten “Stuckey”. *Photo and info from @ValleyFire

In addition to the kitten’s head being stuck, it also had the hinge pushing on its neck. The crew evaluated the situation and determined that the best course of action to safely rescue the kitten was to carefully remove the door by unbolting it from the hinges.

Engine 334 rescued a kitten this afternoon in the Lea Hill neighborhood! This curious kitten found itself in a precarious position with its head wedged into the hinge of the passenger door of a pickup truck.

VRFA units are on scene of a residential fire at 607 37th st SE. The fire is now out and the resident is being treated for minor smoke inhalation. No other injuries reported.
