For years now this government has forced thousands of unaccompanied children into harms way, placing them in adult accommodations, camps and adult prisons, as a result of its flawed policy of determining age at port of entry.

🆘 Pushback in the making! Two Syrians with suspected carbon monoxide poisoning are onboard vessel CM COAST, in UK waters. Instead of allowing them to be treated in the UK, the captain turned the ship around to take them to Calais. @HMCoastguard do not let them be pushed back!

This child has family in the UK. Will he risk everything to come back and be with them? Wouldn’t you?

People who have every right to seek asylum in the UK may be forced to risk unsafe return. Children seeking safety should be cared for by local authorities - never locked in immigration detention centres and threatened with removal.

To date, we have identified 7 age-disputed children detained under this ‘scheme’. We are gravely concerned that more children will be detained and targeted for removal. This violent scheme will only push people into more dangerous journeys.

Once again, this government has failed to protect unaccompanied children. These children now face recovery not only from family separation and past trauma, but also from this horrific ordeal - all because of a desperate attempt by the Labour government to appeal to Reform voters.

Held in isolation prior to his removal. He is a potential victim of trafficking and has survived torture. He is terrified and remains in detention - along with two other children who are also facing removal.

On the 18th September the UK government attempted to remove an unaccompanied child from Afghanistan to France under its sordid ‘one in one out’ scheme. His removal was stopped as he was boarding the plane. He was held in detention for 43 days prior to this.

We're urging root and branch reform of the asylum and care system for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. Our new report details the confusion, delays, and harmful age assessments that hinder integration and well-being for young asylum seekers. https://t.co/JQ7QxK8oXj

There is no internet. No signal. No sound. No world beyond this cage. I walked thirty minutes through ruins and dust. Not in search of escape, but for a fragment of signal, just enough to whisper, “We are still alive.” Not because anyone is listening, but because to die unheard

Thank you to @JakeBenRichards who sits on the @CommonsHomeAffs for raising the vital issue of refugee children wrongly being placed in adult asylum hotels. Many of the children @refugeecouncil, @HelenBamber and @humansforrights work with are wrongly classed as adults. 1/3

I’m grandson of an Irish migrant, living in one of the most diverse communities in the country. We get along together pretty well with every section of the community making its contribution. Talk of an “island of strangers” shockingly echoes the divisive language of Enoch Powell

Traumatising, dangerous and wasteful - housing people seeking asylum in prison-like Wethersfield is indefensible. The Government was right to shut Bibby Stockholm, now it's time to close all the camps. Our letter to the Home Secretary in @Independent 👇 https://t.co/nhtdn0fr6o
