As someone who comes from a family of scientists and farmers, it really hit with me. And someone who in school always felt like he was handled weirdly by the system, that whole bit with him getting in trouble for essay felt familiar.

I really dug the way him actually getting to grow up on Krypton with his parents and yet he still has that inquisitive spark he normally channels in journalism because he was raised by scientists.

This comic gets way too much derision . I’m not even a big Jason Aaron guy (haven’t really jived with his work since his first Thor volume) and this series has felt like both a return to form for him and a neat new take.
