A nice new set of industry info sheets for managing #fruitfly. Interestingly, included in the chem. option tables are indicators of risk of loss of the option.... be nice to see some other risk ratings too for the chems e.g. to the env/biodiversity/biocontrol!
Managing fruit fly is a complex process that requires a long-term sustained approach. To assist #fruitfly affected industries, the National Fruit Fly Council has developed a set of primers, tailored to fruit fly affected industries. Learn more: https://t.co/q5DrZRumZi

Nice article I just came across published late last year: 3 ways #AI can help #farmers tackle the challenges of modern #agriculture

AI is exciting and scary, but it’s also a very useful tool. Here’s how AI is helping farmers shore up their bottom lines, protect the environment and boost food security.

Seeing reports of high populations of #FAW - from the comments looks like large numbers have been seen in many places across Eastern Australia this year.
I’d say 2 weeks ago I’ve just seen biggest hatching of fall armyworm here yet. 20+ per m row. Crop already sprayed and recovered nicely but shows how severe this pest can be even in snsw 😳

Great effort on the site #christmastree this year - an #entomology theme! Can’t take any credit other than the large inflatable dragonfly that usually lives in my office 😁 🐜 🐛 🐞
