Thunder (left) so much quicker than hallmark (right) this year. Totally the opposite of what we normally see!

Lentils on the flat on flood irrigation looking sweet this year 👌, quite a few strategies being tested by various clients. Always hard this time of year if it doesn’t rain #aggrowagronomy

Applying 25yrs of experience and tweaking to get irrigated crops like these is rewarding for us as advisors and clients. Cracking crop of vittaroi durum on Murrumbidgee 👌#aggrowagronomy

@agrobaz Take homes 1. Growers: Choose your canola varieties carefully as there are large differences in yield for very similar input costs. This one decision can make a serious difference to the farm business. 2. Breeders: Griffith and wider area is the canary in the coal mine for

It will be interesting to be at the finish line with Annapurna left and boa right on high yielding irrigation. Lots of yield potential to be pumped into these crops from now onwards, be great if wheat was worth more $

Lots of tipping from dry warm weather in addition the effect of frosts from last Tuesday really taking their toll in the regions dryland crops. 2025 a tough year for the records!

Smut in barley is a real industry issue. I think this is something needing urgent industry attention to ensure there are measures in place to provide growers clean seed at bulking up stage. Pretty much need to start again with neo imo 🥺

This is a picture from today in a nil fungicide plot in a stripe rust trial. 190mm ytd, it will be interesting to see how much photosynthesis occurs from the stem to finish this crop off. In this western env I’ll bet it’s still atleast 75% yield of the full fungicide trt

Positive for the yr, Bondi peas loving a recent rain. 195mm ytd, they have a lot of potential. One of the few crops that pushed through the stressful warm dry weeks before this rain. Cereals tipped out on similar rotations.
