i think the problem with long time horizon AI-assisted programming and lowering the barrier to entry to programming is that it presents the illusion of an abstraction without any of the associated tooling a higher level abstraction brings.

in the kimi-cli, the agent can "send a message to to the past", resetting itself to a known checkpoint and including a summary message or insruction "just like sending a D-Mail in Steins;Gate"

i remember when i first grok'ed PPO's simplicity in the clipping vs TRPO i smiled at how elegant it was. (before the haters tell me im riding the RL hype train - this was in 2018)

Appreciate the beautiful algorithm that is PPO. There might be flaws, but a careful look will tell you how beautiful this was. @ekindogus said recently that once a paper becomes too famous, people stop reading it. *Guilty as charged* -- excited to read this paper for the first

sparse vectors like SPLADE are horribly underrated by people building search systems. also new techniques like cSPLADE - https://t.co/dg3DSyYqXF, show promise on leveraging sparse-only techniques. try it all out with our new search API - built to be an expressive and easy way

In recent years, dense retrieval has been the focus of information retrieval (IR) research. While effective, dense retrieval produces uninterpretable dense vectors, and suffers from the drawback...
