I guess when I said they wanted to be their own network it was more literal than even I thought.
A lot of the Stripe / Bridge talk seems to be missing the point - this isn't just about Stripe's crypto abilities. This is about broadening Stripe's entire business - from one that ultimately depends on the merchant - to one that can be its own global payment network. On-chain.

Reality is, as we’ve seen with Robinhood and every other corporate who’s entered the space, they don’t want nor are they served by having a general purpose chain as their execution environment if they expect to do more then just issue assets. This has been obvious for awhile.
